One of the most celebrated new public spaces in the world, the 24.5 acre park opened in the summer 2004 and has emerged as a must see on every tourist's itinerary. This showcase for art, music, architecture and landscape design displays Chicago as one of the most culturally sophisticated cities in the world. During the winter months the 16,000 square-foot ice rink offers visitors one of the best views of Chicago's famed Michigan Avenue.
