Facets Multi-Media has been around since 1975 and is a non-profit media arts organization. It provides over 60,000 videos for rental. For a $24.00 a month membership fee, anyone can rent unlimited videos, receive admission for two to all films and additional programs, enjoy VIP invites for all Facets events, and receive a subscription to the bi-monthly Cinema Schedule, along with a weekly newsletter and a free “Movie Lover’s Video Guide.” They even have the greatest of all video guides, with volumes ranging from a children’s guide to an African-American guide. They also offer the “Facets Movie Lover’s Video Guide” and even the “Facets Video Encyclopedia.” They are also home to the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival. Facets sponsors classes in film history and offers daily screenings of cutting edge work in a viewing area for $1.25. |
