4th Annual Wine Crush in Old Town The Wine Crush in Old Town is an urban wine festival featuring an enticing opportunity to sample over 100 wines from around the world. The event transforms Wells Street into a European-style open market featuring wine and food pavilions serving the cuisine of popular neighborhood eateries.
Aficionados and novices will have the opportunity to taste wines from domestic vineyards as well as from France, Italy, Australia, Spain and Chile, among others. The Wine Crush also features live-stage performances throughout the festival. There's even a charity fund-raising grape stomping competition.

94th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony The Christmas season starts on November 23, when Mayor Richard Daley and company turns on the lights in Daley Plaza. This years tree is made up of 100 plus individual balsam firs. Festivities begin at 4:00 pm, with caroling starting at 5:00 pm, when the sun goes down magic ignites all of Chicago. |

Chicago International Children's Film Festival The Chicago International Children's Film Festival (CICFF) is the largest annual festival of films for children in the world, programming over 200 films and videos from 40 countries. The Festival showcases the best in culturally diverse, non-violent, value affirming new cinema for children & youth. The festival welcomes 25,000 attendees and including nearly 130 filmmakers, media professionals, and celebrities each year who attend to lead interactive workshops. The CICFF is the only Academy Award qualifying children's film festival in the world.
