The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs continues its Sunday Salon Series of innovative music and performance programs in Fall 2008. The series is one of the most popular at the Chicago Cultural Center. The weekly series, which began in 2000, showcases a wide variety of classical music by local, national and internationally based classical artists. A single season of the Sunday Salon Series can offer visitors a chance to hear everything from fourteenth-century songs to Brahms symphonies to world premieres by exciting composers living right here in Chicago – a tasting menu of classical music
