Better Homes and Gardens Magazine’s and Weber’s Chill and Grill Festival™ takes over Chicago’s Lincoln Park on May 21st-22nd.
This exciting culinary event puts grilling center stage with local restaurant and BHG recipe tastings, grilling demonstrations, ticketed hands-on grilling classes, a live Grilling Showdown, a “Chill Zone” lounge area, live music, cookbook signings, kids activities and more.
There is no cost to enter the festival and many “happenings” throughout the weekend are free.
However:
 • All food and beverage will require the purchase of a Tasting Card
 • Hands-On Grilling Classes cost $30.00
 • Chill and Grill Expert Seminars are free but require sign up.
Sign-up sheets will be available outside the class location at the festival.

Events Calendar
Chicago’s Magnificent Churches June-07 -
Join architectural expert Thomas O’Gorman on visits to three Chicago churches. With two churches to be decided, the tour starts at the historic Second Presbyterian Church, located in the city’s Prairie Avenue Historic District. Its Arts and Crafts interior, featuring Tiffany glass windows and Frederic Clay Bartlett murals, represents one of Chicago’s finest examples of architect Howard van Doren Shaw’s work.
Hyde Park & Kenwood June-14 -
Experience two charming lakefront neighborhoods, Hyde Park and Kenwood. View the distinct architectural styles of historic homes and Hyde Park’s St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, designed by noted architect Barry Byrne. Enjoy a guided tour at the Oriental Institute Museum and a short visit to view Rockefeller Memorial Chapel. At tour’s end, walk through the enchanting Osaka Garden in Jackson Park’s Wooded Island
Wicker Park & Bucktown June-14 -
Full of energy, Wicker Park and Bucktown offer visitors a charismatic, eclectic mix of art, architecture, and culture.  At beautiful St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Bucktown, take a short tour and discuss the church’s architecture. Spend personal time in fashionable boutiques and shops. Then, explore historic Wicker Park on an architectural walking tour highlighting the area’s homes and mansions.
Devon Avenue June-21 -
While Devon Avenue’s surrounding neighborhoods feature many cultures, this tour spotlights the area’s vibrant
Indian community. It begins with a traditional welcome at the Indo-American Center. On a guided walking tour, shop at international grocery stores, delis, jewelers, and sari stores. Revisit the Indo-American Center for a discussion of Indian culture in Chicago, and a traditional Indian dance and sari-wrapping demonstration.
Pilsen & Little Village July-12 -
Pilsen and Little Village form one of the nation’s largest Mexican and Mexican-American communities. Absorb this culture and heritage on a guided walking tour of Pilsen to view the area’s colorful murals. In Little Village, browse one of the city’s liveliest shopping districts on 26th Street. Wrap up at the nation’s largest Latino museum, the National Museum of Mexican Art.
 
Pullman Historic District July-12 -
A national historic landmark, Pullman Historic District was the site of George M. Pullman’s late-1800s model town built to house his Pullman Palace Car Company workers. Begin this exploration at the Pullman Visitor Center. Embark on a comprehensive walking tour that includes the Greenstone Church and the renowned Hotel Florence.
