Pulitzer Prize winning composer John Corigliano introduced outstanding young composer Mason Bates to great acclaim at Chicago Chamber Musicians’ 2007 Freshly Scored Concert. Winner of both the Rome and Berlin prizes, Bates recently made his Carnegie Hall debut performing live electronica. His music was described by the San Francisco Chronicle as “lovely to hear and ingeniously constructed.“ The audience is invited to meet this amazing new talent as he introduces a program of music that has inspired him and his own works.
