With multiple nightclubs,  two dance floors and entertainment options, Excalibur is a nightlife mecca. Its distinctive space, a red granite castle built in 1892, matches its distinctive reputation. It has been named  "Best Nightclub in Chicago"  by the Chicago Tribune.

Each floor houses multiple lounges and club areas, each with their own atmosphere and flavor. Clubs including “Aura,”  “The Dome Room,”  “Vision,”  “Cabaret” and “Club X” hold a variety of nightly dance parties and entertainment; playing everything from progressive music to rock and from hip-hop to favorites from the 70s -90s. Weekly events include Live Band Karaoke on Wednesdays; Salsa & Meringue Dancing (with lessons) on Thursday; and on Friday evenings at 8:00 pm, the club hosts “Supernatural Excalibur,” an exploration into the haunted history of the historic building.
 
Excalibur also features “The Bad Boys of Late Night,”  interactive DJs performing “comedy you can dance to” as well as one of the city’s largest dance floors. For guests wanting a break from dancing, Excalibur has cozy lounges, pool tables and arcade games, as well as a full menu of appetizers, sandwiches, salads and burgers served late until 3:00 am all nights except Saturday, when the kitchen stays open until 4:00 am.
 
Excalibur hosts famous Halloween and New Years Eve Extravaganzas, as well as a variety of private party options, from birthdays and bachelorette parties to banquets and corporate events.
 
Excalibur’s Castle-like location is indeed a Chicago Historical Landmark; an 1892 red granite building by Henry Ives Cobb built to house the Chicago Historical Society. The building is famously rumored to be one of the most haunted places in Chicago, a subject of numerous books and documentaries for A&E and the Travel Channel.
