The Parrot Cage Restaurant is a creation and operation of the highly acclaimed Washburne Culinary Institute, one of the best and oldest culinary schools in the country. Both operations are located in the South Shore Cultural Center a Chicago Landmark.  This is an architectural treasure restored to preserve the original details of many areas, such as its lavishly ornamented and finely detailed first floor interior. According to Washburne Provost Bill Reynolds, the Parrot Cage will provide Chicago's South Side with a true gourmet restaurant with culinary delights at affordable prices.
