How do you say the name and where did that name come from? Exchequer is pronounced "ex checker." The restaurant is located in the financial and banking district of Chicago. It was originally patterned after an English style public house (pub). "Exchequer" is the name for the National Treasury of England. Hence our name, Exchequer Pub. |
