General Info
In 1993, mother-son team Klara and Vadim Muchnik opened Russian Tea Time just a few years after coming to America. Russian fare including caviars, blinis (Russian pancakes) and delicious desserts like apple strudel are just some of the dishes available. The menu is very vegetarian friendly and there are also a great number of low-fat options. Russian Tea Time has been named one of the "Top 10 Healthy Restaurants in the U.S." by the Chicago Tribune and has been honored by the Vegetarian Resource Magazine.

Deep, rich reds and mahogany define Russian Tea Time’s classic decor. You'll feel right at home as you nosh on classic Russian dishes with an American twist. Obviously Russian tea is a big draw but vodka flights are also a specialty. The Jewel Flight containing three varieties of Russian-distilled vodka (Ultra, Cranberry and Fruity Bilberry) is highly recommended. And at $11.00 for 3 one-ounce shots, vodka flights are a great deal. During flights, diners are served a dish with pickled cucumber and pumpernickel bread. Reservations are strongly recommended for pre-concert dinners.

The Perfect Place For: Anyone looking to try classic Russian fare
