Uncle Julio’s Hacienda is an open, airy, colorful space offering a menu that lists both standard and eclectic Mexican fare. The restaurant’s heaping plate of nachos is a meal in itself that should be eased into the digestive system with a Corona or Negro Modelo. The soft tacos are delicious and we recommend you enjoy them with at least one margarita made with the tequila of your choice. The Hacienda offers twenty-three tequilas to choose from and, not surprisingly, many find it necessary to sample several just to make sure they’ve gotten the right one. If you’ve had an annoying day, wash it away with the Sangria Swirl, a mixture of fruity sangria and a golden margarita guaranteed to ease life’s pain.

On the exotic side, you will be delighted by the duck tamales and the frog legs. You’ll never forgive yourself if you pass up the grilled jumbo shrimp stuffed with jack cheese, jalapeños and wrapped in bacon. And if you have any room to spare, order the cajeta for dessert - vanilla ice cream rolled in toasted coconut and pecans. The friendly wait staff will help you to Uncle Julio’s front door if you’re feeling a little bloated,  an equally friendly valet will quickly get your car, and wish you a pleasant journey.
