Boston Blackies This neighborhood styled bar and restaurant is unique in that most of the sounding establishments are significantly more upscaled and trendy. The food here is simple but very well prepared. Oh, by the way the grilled Pork Chops are great. The food here is a great value and are nicely complimented with the house BBQ sauce and side of their wonderful coleslaw. Another house favorite are the potato skins. These are truly loaded and are dangerous for anyone over the age of thirty, but try them anyway you will love them.....
Dairy Queen (DQ) Dairy Queen have been providing consumers with crave-satisfying treats and food since 1940.
DQ what's not to love? Great ice cream, and quick service that makes this an awesome stop on any warm day, especially great to walk to after a Chicago Cub win!
Express Grill This 24-hour hot dog stand opened in the fifites under the same current owner (who now runs it with his son) and serves Polish sausage topped with grilled onions and peppers and pork chop sandwiches.
Garrett Popcorn Shop If you've strolled Michigan Avenue's Magnificent Mile, chances are pretty good that you've walked past a place with a line of people stretching onto the street that smells of cheese and caramel popcorn. You are unmistakably outside one of Chicago's busiest shops, the Garrett Popcorn Shop.

Kuma's Corner That's a question that has been on the mind of many a guest here, we thought it's about time Kuma introduced herself!
She's an eight year old Akita, a breed that comes all the way Japan. The name "Kuma" means "bear" in Japanese. We like to think on Kuma's Corner as a cozy refuge, kind of like a bear's den, and since we love our "first-born" so much, coming up with a name for the place was a no-brainer!
Mario's Italian Lemonade I'm counting the days until Mario's opens for the season. (Which is May 1st by the way to the end of summer!) The Italian Lemonade is good and the service is fast. What more could you want? On a warm night the line might be 20 people deep, but don't let that scare you. It goes fast and it's worth waiting for. I personally recommend going later in the summer when peaches are in season.
You won't be disappointed.....
